Apple ..Hurry up to transfer your saved photos

Apple’s decision:

Users will no longer be able to store photos on My Photo Stream.

Apple announced the closure of its free service to save photos “My Photo Stream” on the 26th of next July, provided that the ability of users to store photos on-board the service on the 26th of June.

Company clarification:

Apple made it clear, according to an official statement, that all photos kept by users of “My Photo Stream” will be synced with the “iCloud” service by June 26 and will remain available for a month, so that during that period the user can download them to one of his devices.

Storage alternative:

And Apple called on users to rely on the iCloud Photo storage service, which is an alternative to its service, which is about to close forever.

Steps to follow to upload photos:

Apple explained the steps to be followed to download photos from “My Photo Stream” on iPhone, iPad and iPod touch devices, which are as follows:

  1. Go to the Photos app and then click on the Albums option
  2. Go to My Photo Stream
  3. The user selects all the images that he wants to download to his device, and presses Save Image.

For Mac computers:

  1. Open the Photos app and then select My Photo Stream.
  2. Choose all the images you want to store, and drag them all to the Library storage folder

.Important Notes :

  1. Apple stresses that iCloud Photos must be enabled on iPhones running iOS 8.3 or later
  2. iPads running iPadOS 8.3 or later, and Mac computers running macOS X Yosemite or later.
  3. After turning on iCloud Photos, Apple made it possible for the user to easily browse their photos on iPhones, iPads
  4. Macs, as well as on Apple TV and the iCloud website. It will also be possible for them to sync photos on Windows computers also via the iCloud for Windows service.
