It’s okay
I bought this after having an issue with an expensive purchase going missing off my porch and reappearing as just an empty box completely sealed up later. It does great at night, but sometimes it doesn’t trigger until the person is already right at the door or already walking away. And often the footage is blurry. Program itself is great and I love the “neighborhood watch” type feature. It helped my find my escaped dog a few blocks away. Will probably purchase the upgraded version though.
So glad I made the switch
I previously had a Blink doorbell which is another Amazon brand but it’s much more affordable, it would only notify me of motion sometimes but it rarely recorded it. The blink doorbell records everything! I’ve never had a problem with it, I love it! Definitely worth the money.
Once you have one it’s hard to live without it
Like being able to answer the door no matter where I am gives the illusion that someone is home packages don’t get stolen because they know they have been captured on camera and as soon as they see or hear it they leave quickly so yes it is worth it!
Works Great but…
It works great, the only thing that is strange is the camera not detecting Amazon deliveries, we get deliveries and have no idea unless we look on the phone because the game will not alert us when Amazon delivery person is in front of the house, it captures everyone else.
Not bad.
It works… not the best photo quality, not the best picture or sound quality, 2 second delay recording audio from activation, sees about 25 yards in the dark with minimal back light.You do have to un install it to charge, charging takes hours from a 15% battery.Factory settings allow the battery to last about 2-3 months.If you’re looking for this type of doorbell/ camera… it’s worth picking up.The additions to the app promote nosey neighbors.
