phone-graphy lights that do not get the love they deserve
I purchased the option that included 3 remote controls. Most of the writeups on this product addressed the versions that only have the controller wired on the usb cord.This trio of LED lighting arrive in a completely unmarked plain kraft brown with each component separated within its own box.Each lamp is divided up with its own remote control, color filters, pivot head, and user manual.The set does not include wall to usb adapters which is fine for me since I already own several and mostly use this lighting with usb port power banks or those large power stations that have both AC outlets and USB ports.The tripods are light with just enough thickness on the tripod supports and round tubing which are meant hold the LED panels. I have not connected brackets or devices besides the included LED panels on the top of these telescoping poles.Both the remote control and wired controller allows me to increase or decrease the brightness using 10 adjustment presses. This is quite a versatile range to go from dim shadow lit to bright shadow removal setting.The Remotes and Controllers are color coded. The remotes are Red, Yellow, and White so the LED panels wired controller with have that same matching color on the wired controller. When power is supplied to the panel the wired controller will have a Blue LED lit above the power button.No storage bag is included with this set but I kept the larger box and just place all the items back in the box. The only item I pack separately are the plastic filter sheets into one of the LED panel boxes.

Amazing Value – Just Keep your Expectations in Check
I bought these honestly because I was just going to take the stands and butcher them to make a light box holder for a photo booth I’m building. But when they came, I can say I was pleasantly surprised with these little lights. Are they high quality? No. For $45, you can’t expect fantastic lighting with high quality stands. But they’re a lot better than I did expect!The stands are very lightweight – which could be a positive or negative depending on how you look at it. They are not extremely tall, so you won’t be using them over overhead lighting. But great if you’re sitting down. They do come with swivel head attachments, which probably won’t support a heavy attachment, but will definitely save you a $10 bucks a piece off buying them separately if you’re using them just for the lights, or for other light weight use.The lights themselves are bright enough. All combined you’re likely to get about 3000 lumens total out of them according to the manual (each light is supposedly 1000 lumens). The included filters are OK and will soften the LEDs a little, but you might consider putting a white semi transparent pouch over them or something to soften it even more.The one negative is that the set does not come with a power supply, so make sure you purchase your own supply. I hooked it up to a USB power supply that gives you power draw, and it said that each light draws 1.5amps, so make sure you get a supply that’s going to provide at least 2 amps for each light.All in all, if you temper your expectations, I think you’ll be pleased with the value of this little set. They’d be perfect for youtube videos, IMO, and honestly I will probably end up using the lights by themselves for the photobooth.

They work as advertised.
The stands are a nice height, a few inches taller than other similar products. The LED’s are bright, light control easy to use.
