   This thing is awesome, I just wish the lock that holds the viewing angle setting was much sturdier. Plastic has a heavy feel to it and a nice finish. I put this in my 2005 pilot. I have a head unit installed in there that was a carry over from a prior vehicle and is so dated it doesn’t have bluetooth or wifi features. It still sounds great though. So this mount went into the mouth of the stock 6 disc changer that has never been used since I’ve owned the car. I like this location rather than the head unit itself because it doesn’t get as much glare being about center in the console. I had to pry a plastic flap out of the opening in the changer but I didn’t mind that. The mount attached securely and since I didn’t bother looking for any instructions, I had a James Bond moment when I pushed the two buttons simultaneously and the mount smoothly sprung open to accept my 7 inch galaxy tab with protective case. Total setup time was like 3 to 5 minutes. This mount takes two devices I already have that weren’t doing much for me and puts them to good use. The old head unit aux in is connected to the tablets headphone jack. Using an android app called “head unit reloaded” the tablet is connected to my phone via wifi and communicates with android auto to display music apps like amazon music, Google maps for navigation etc. It will even give you a short preview of incoming texts. Pretty slick considering the cost of a new smart head unit and install would far exceed the cost of this mount, a 5 dollar app and a couple cables to use the tablet in car. And if I need my tablet to travel I can just click those 2 release buttons and go with it.Update after using it for awhile: The mount wants to sag down under the weight of the tablet, especially driving over bumpy roads. This is due to the adjustable ball and socket mount being the only attachment point holding the weight of the device. I was thinking about getting it in just the right spot, tightening it up good and coating it in some JB weld to make it permanent. Might make a bracket to support it if I can do so without looking bad. It’s a shame I have to take time to think about and work on a solution to this, being that is the reason I bought this item. To secure my tablet to the dash in a manner where I can see it. I’m using a 7 inch tablet, I’m sure a 10 inch would be even worse. That cost it the 2 stars. Having to manually adjust it while in use is not a great step above just throwing it in the center console loose and calling it good. It’s a great concept and I will continue to use it, albeit with some user modifications to make it work for my needs.

   With my job I practically live in my vehicle. This is a great product for those needing a mobile office or if you have kids who like to watch TV in the car. Great buy and good price

   This is a tough mount, it fits other adapter plates also with ball mount backplates so I use it for my tablet, cell, navigation screen etc. Good buy if you are looking cd player mount for devices.

   Good to use during my lunch time when watching TV (one hour lunch need to stay entertained) it is sturdy for the most part but will definitely not work with a thick case around the tablet. Can’t keep it on for time because it gets in the way of my phone mount. But its a great product nonetheless.

   I was worried this wouldnt work for my 10 inch. Thought it would be too heavy but I can mount it any angle and it’s fine when driving.
