Takes probably half a day to charge when there are only 2 lights present, but with all lights present, I have enough to recharge my phone multiple times a day without being worried that this battery will die on me.An example of my day: When traveling, I fully charged the battery pack, woke up around 7am to start my day of public transportation (using my GPS, yelp, text, camera, etc.), go hiking, find restaurants to eat, etc. My phone battery probably drops to about 40% each time before I charge it. I think I charged it 3 to 4 times and by the time I got home, I still had one to two lights present on the battery pack. It also charges pretty quickly.
Actual rating 4.5/5 stars.A lot of other reviewers have listed pros and cons, so I’ll do the same, with what’s important to me in this sort of device. As you can see in the picture, I bought it primarily to power an Echo Dot, but I do also use it to charge my phone/etc. in a pinch. It can easily charge my phone and power the Dot at the same time, too!Pros!- High capacity – puts out enough power that my Dot runs wall-free all day. I recharge it at night.- Speaking of the Dot – Dots can’t run when they don’t get enough power, i.e. with weaker cables or slower power flow. The fact that it’s running while plugged into this thing means it can compete with wall charging power, AND the cable it came with is actually made for fast charging.- Not actually that heavy – more portable than I was expecting.- 12 month warranty, not too shabby!- Easy visualization of how much power is left, as indicated by the blue lights.- A built in flashlight! Pretty helpful, honestly.- LOOK AT THAT PRICE!Cons:- VERY SLOW RECHARGE, as others have pointed out. It takes all night to recharge. A BIG minus. Half a star’s worth, in fact.- The blue lights can’t be turned off, and it flashes when charging. I have to cover it with a shirt so it doesn’t keep me up at night.- Does not come with a wall adapter to charge itself… but we all have these lying around, right?- Cannot run my Dot while it itself is charging – the power bank cuts off power to the Dot so it can recharge.All in all, I’m really happy with it, and only have a few minor complaints, all of which are outweighed by its price, capacity, and power output. I haven’t had it break or mess up or do anything weird on me, like I’ve read happening to other reviewers. I know there’s higher quality options, if you’re in the market to spend a lot more, but this really does get the job done for a fraction of the price. I really recommend it, depending on your needs.
This has been a Godsend! My iPhone battery has decided to keep charged for only 8-12 hours a day, depending on my usage. I find myself out and about with no access to power. I used to worry about running out of battery life – what did we ever do before cell phones and especially smart phones?! – and now I no longer have to worry about it. I’ve not tried to charge two things at the same time, but given how well it charges one item I’m sure it would do just as well. I can’t recall how quickly it goes from say 30% to 100% as it’s never given me worry! Great product and would definitely recommend it!
I bought this for my younger brother since he always has his phone on airplane mode cause it has a low battery. He never leaves the house so I didn’t expect him to use it so much before the school year even started but he’s been using it almost every day so he can laze around on bed without having to huddle up next to the outlet. In retrospect I probably should have also bought him a ten foot charger but so far it’s been holding up well and seems like it’ll be especially useful when he starts going back to school. It’s got a large capacity for such a cheap charger so it’s a really good value
We bought this charger to use to charge our Iphones while traveling, on foot and usually when it sometimes is difficult to recharge. I think the product is very good. It ‘s nice that we can charge 2 devices at the same time, and we able to recharge both of our phones , multiple times throughout 1 day. The Led light is a nice feature. For the capability of this charger, I think the size is pretty good. Other chargers tend to be much bigger and heavier. I would recommend this product. I have only had for a month or so, so far the durability is good too.
