    Pretty good

These smart plugs work pretty well. I have found only one real issue: when you change your wifi password for your home internet, you have to reset each plug and then reconfigure each and add them to the new wifi password (you can’t just go in and change the wifi password on the app).If your using Tmobile home internet, your wifi modem might also not recognize these and you’ll have to restart the modem a few times. It also can be difficult, after you change your wifi password, to connect the devices to the modem or router and I also had issues with the remote control option on quite a few of these because of this issue. This meant that I wouldn’t be able to control the devices unless my phone was on the same wifi network.

    Love these

I love these i have them all over my house i mainly use the for Christmas lights and they work amazing. They work very well with amazon Alexa and the Kasa app is really easy to use i also really like these ones because they’re one of the more cheaper ones but still work well ive been using them for at least 3 years now and have had no issues they’re extremely easy to set up.

Very good, but won’t connect to Bluetooth

None of the four plugs would connect to Bluetooth, despite following the directions for “what to do if it won’t connect to Bluetooth.” I then decided to go ahead and connect them via WiFi. They definitely won’t connect to 5 GHz WiFi, so you have to make sure you have a 2.4 GHz band. Renaming your 2.4 GHz band something different from your 5 GHz band helps, but you may mess up something else, like a video door bell, that is using the 2.4 GHz band under the original name. You can keep the bands named the same, but it makes it more difficult to pick the right one when setting up the plugs. The Kasa app seems really good, so far. You can group your plugs or other devices by room. The customization of the schedules for the plugs is really good. Controlling the plugs from your phone is very easy. I don’t know if anyone will read a 4-star review, because if you’re like me, you read the 1-star reviews first, then read a few of the 5-stars, and then decide. Anyhow, I would recommend these as long as you don’t absolutely need plugs that connect to Bluetooth. I gave “Easy to Install” a 3-star rating only because they won’t connect to Bluetooth, as advertised. The connection to WiFi is actually pretty easy as long as you have a dual band router that uses the 5.0 and 2.4 GHz bands simultaneously, and you can select the 2.4 GHz band.

solid little devices, but patience needed for the app menus in Android

Electrical engineer, and I LIKE these devices — solid design, and satisfying to test-toggle them on-and-off with the app once you get them configured … BUT, the Android app menuing is NOT intutive and requires a bit of trial-and-error to add a device to your library; I spent several go-rounds mistakenly “resetting” a device after adding it when the correct choice is to NOT do so, in spite of the app config screens leading you to think otherwise — call it “one too many assumptions when the coders wrote the software”. It would also be useful for the scheduler-portion of the software to include a “randomizing plus or minus fifteen minutes” option built into the on/off-time scheduler.Still recommended.

    saftey feature saved my home.

I have always purchased from TP -Link Kasa since the beggining of my smart home venture. wifi lightbulbs, wifi outlets, wifi surge protector and recently the 360 degree security cameras. I am super impressed however ( enough to remeber i bought these on amazon 3 years ago and felt compeled to leave this review.) because recently when a device of mine started overheating the outlet it just shut down a high temp. without it im the socket, alone would have cought on fire. Thank you and you have a customer for life.
