I purchased this little guy, because I cut my cable off and this allows me to watch youtube and nfl replays on my big tv screen. I dont know how long will last, but for now, satisfied. (i used to go vga IN to monitor then hdmi OUT from computer to tv, then go to graphic options and change to tv. I PREFER TO HAVE MIRRORED IMAGE ON BOTH. i can navigate on desktop much easier and convenient.) my computer settings is 1920 and 1080 and tv. they both stay the same.
I love a product that does just what it’s description claims without any hassles. This product fits that category. It’s easy to set up (actually fool-proof). It gives great picture quality on both outputs. I even tried it with its input coming from the output of another HDMI 4-way splitter and it performed flawlessly. The price is great too. Highly recommend.
Works great. Just as advertised. Make sure you have power on it and all the red lights light up.
Works perfectly! Sound and picture on my PS3 come in clearly. Just hook your PS3 HDMI into the input section on the splitter, one of the outputs into the Elgato’s input, then the Elgato’s output into your TV/Monitor. Get OBS setup with optimal recording/streaming settings (Google and Twitch have the optimal encoding settings for each if you look them up) and you’re all set!
I had intended to order a unit that had a 110V power adapter instead of this one that requires a user-supplied USB charger. I realized my mistake later and decided to just deal with it. This one comes with the cord; just no charger. The unit has a solid feel with an all metal case. It’s very compact. It’s installed in my workshop that has a small loft upstairs. This splitter lets me keep up with my favorite programs as I move between the loft and the main shop. I’ve noticed that the cable box sees the splitter as a receiving device and does not shut down automatically as it did when attached to a single TV. The small TV upstairs and the larger 32″ downstairs are both older 720p models so the integration was seamless. Yeah, old technology but I had them and they serve the purpose. It’s a shop; not a home theater.With the TVs in my installation there is a difference in the volume level at each TV depending on if one or both TVs are turned on. Each TV is individually louder when both are turned on. There is enough separation between them that it’s not just the cumulative volume of the two. It’s not even noteworthy as a complaint; just an observation. Overall I am satisfied and the splitter works as expected.
